Shaolin Monks Training Explained

Shaolin Monks are said to be the best fighters in the world along with the Muay Thai fighters, Muay Thai is a continuous attack where eight limbs – hands, elbows, knee, and feet – are used to tackle any brawl or to neutralize a bully. Shaolin Monks learn the art of Kung Fu along with many other defensive and attacking arts for self-protection. They work hard and do it daily to pass specific criteria and to earn a name in the list of the best fighters on the planet.

Many years ago, these Monks were living in a miserable condition in a lawless area where there was a continuous threat from bandits and robbers who were doing consistent damage to these monks. Almost 1600 years ago, a man went there and started teaching martial arts to these monks in Shaolin Temple, Henan village, China. They were Indian Monks, also known as Ta Mo.

Shaolin Monks training involves a tough daily routine to follow, as they live there for 24 X 7; they are almost always in under training throughout the day. They get up at 5:00 am do a fifteen-minute Qigong Sitting, after a break of five minutes they start morning Kung Fu at 5:35 and practice it till 6:30, Afterward, they take their morning meal at 7:45 and then go to the domestic matters like room cleaning, wood chopping, field and form working, etc. Till 11:30 everyone is assumed to be free for the lunch break, lunch is served only once, a latecomer is never entertained with a new lunch session.

After the lunch break, they go for the noon rest of 80 minutes, till 2: 00 pm. From 2: 00 pm to 5: 00 pm they do the afternoon Kung Fu practice along with combat skills and martial arts exercises.

They start their dinner at 6:50 pm and everyone has to finish it before 7:30 pm. At sharp 9:00 pm, they do a session of the night Kung Fu practice before calling it a day at 11:00 pm. Along with these strict timing of everything, they have a pre-planned food guideline or nutrition plan which they have to follow for the whole life.

In Shaolin Temple, the students learn seventy-two arts, first of all, the study the basics and then they go for the exercises, they cover up all seventy-two arts like the semester system in education. Initially, students are practicing in a way that helps them to soften their bones and sinews, later on, learnability and agility are gained in the body for the hard upcoming training. Furthermore, breath Zongli is practiced and to strengthen the internal system and body control along with the blood state and cinnabar field.
The bottom line is they spent their whole tenure strengthen their inside and outside, they learn to control their desires and emotions as well.
